Since Blankner School's transformation as Orlando's first K8 school in 2001, it has performed as an academic powerhouse, consistently cited as one of the most desirable schools to attend in Central Florida. In 2018, Blankner was honored to be selected as one of the district's twelve Innovation Schools. In response to this accolade, our Principal, Dr. Kreil, in collaboration with school and parent leadership, decided to focus ongoing achievement around the STEAM approach to holistic learning, which creatively integrates the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and design, and Math.
Vision Statement: Blankner’s STEAM approach will equip all students to take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, embrace collaboration, foster imagination, and persist in problem-solving. Blankner students will be prepared to make an impact in their community and beyond.
Mission Statement: To empower students to integrate and apply their knowledge, unique skills, and abilities to problem-solve creatively in an interconnected and evolving world.
