5th graders compete in film competition!
A group of Blankner 5th grade students participated in a film competition in conjunction with their Everglades STEAM education. About the contest: Youth Making Ripples is collaborating with The Everglades Foundation to launch a new film competition called “Everglades Champions Making Ripples” focused on sharing messages about how the Florida Everglades are connected to our oceans. Only schools participating in The Everglades Foundations’ K–5 “Everglades Champion Schools” program are eligible for this competition.

We even included a few close by adventures that you can learn a lot about Florida’s Wetlands. Please check off where you visited, have your parents sign, and return to the envelope outside of the STEAM room.
What does STEAM mean to Blankner School?
We are going to Think Globally, Act Locally. Blankner Students are given real world problems to solve and think about and they bring those skills and empathy back into our community. At Blankner we use SPIKE, our Engineering Design Process.
