Students compete in film competition
A group of Blankner 5th grade students participated in a film competition in conjunction with their Everglades STEAM education. About the contest: Youth Making Ripples is collaborating with The Everglades Foundation to launch a new film competition called “Everglades Champions Making Ripples” focused on sharing messages about how the Florida Everglades are connected to our oceans. Only schools participating in The Everglades Foundations’ K–5 “Everglades Champion Schools” program are eligible for this competition.

Things are really 'cooking' in the lab!
Spanish II students utilized the green screen technology in the STEAM lab to produce, film, and star in their very own cooking shows. Students demonstrated how to make an authentic Hispanic dish while utilizing the Spanish language skills they have learned in the classroom.
