It was a very busy week in the fabrication lab as we finished the unit on astronaut training and creating mission patches. We also welcomed in the Spanish students to create pinatas, cooking shows, and World Cup foosball tables.

Mrs. Miller and Blankner's Living Lab made OCPS news this week! Mrs. Miller came up with the idea several years ago and has grown the lab to 9 creatures, including a bearded dragon, snake, hermit crab, 2 geckos, a tortoise, 2 rabbits, and a guinea pig. Teachers can check out animals for their classroom to augment their curriculum or as a reward for their students. Mrs. Miller also sponsors the Creature Club which allows 5th-8th grade students to come in to the Living Lab every morning and help care for the animals.
